Thanksgiving in Tucson 2013

Obviously didn't do a good job documenting our trip to Tucson for Thanksgiving. Oops. Any peeps out there with pics send them to me please!!! We went up to the Wilkes' home in Phoenix with all of the Nelson clan for Thanksgiving dinner. We stayed there for the night and drove home to SLC. While we were down in Tucson, we went to Sahuarita to get tons and tons of pecans from the pecan farms down there. We had them for a quite a few month and even shared half with Jami's family.

Kelsie's First Day of Preschool!

Forgot to post about this little chica's first day of school! She went with her buddy Jet so Melissa and I had a good carpool going. She actually let me curl her hair that day. Kind of a miracle.

Breastfeeding and blogging!

This is Kels, Lana and I getting ready for the Ward Halloween Party. The YW/YM were in charge and also holding a fundraiser for next years budget. I had just been "promoted" to YW secretary from advisor so was doing my best to help out with Chad on a hunting trip. I made a bunch of sugar cookies that the little kids in my ward decorated. Lots were left over and I figured out you can freeze sugar cookies but they stay soft right from the freezer.

I don't know when and I don't know how but I know there's something starting right nnnoooowwww.....

     

     I've been debating for months whether or not I should continue blogging or rather start blogging again. It has been over a year since my last post and the overwhelmingness (that's a word, right?) of starting it again has stopped me over and over again. I just don't journal anymore like I used to and I really feel like this could be a good place to journal the goings on of my family.
       Recently, I have been reading the history of my Great Grandpa Byrant Manning Jolley. In the first page, he talks about how for 60 years he wished he would have kept a journal. 60 years? It was totally a sign for me that I need to keep something going.
      We use our phones more frequently for pictures, so part of the overwhelmingness is downloading all of those and organizing. A lot can happen in a year and a half. Like a baby.....sorry Caroline:(
      So even though no one is probably reading this I am determined to start again and have something for my great granddaughter to read someday.
