May 2014 Ophir Day Trip

We took a trip to the City of Ophir which is an old mining town south of Tooele. Chad's Grandpa was the mine Superintendent and Chad's dad actually lived there for a few years until they moved to Tucson.
 The road going into Ophir.

The Superintendents house which the current tenants think is haunted.

There are many little restored buildings that have been brought to the main part of town for people to look at.

New construction can also be see everywhere. Some people are living here full-time while some just have cabins for vacations. There was also a campground not to far east of the main buildings.

May 2014 The Yard at it's Finest!

If any of you know Chad you know that he takes a lot of pride in having a good lookin' lawn. If any of you know me you know that I hate doing any kind of yard work. Like completely despise it. So I thought I should probably dedicate a post to all the hard work Chad puts in to this beautiful yard. And lets start dreaming of Springtime.

April 2014:San Diego Trip

Chad and I decided to take a trip out to San Diego on a whim. I was pregnant with Caroline but not sure how far along. Maybe about 16 weeks? I found a Groupon in San Clemente for a Best Western so of course I was all over that! Love me some Best Western! While there, we hung out on the beach, went to the San Diego Zoo and ate yummy yummy clam chowder at The Fishermen's Restaurant. It was located on a pier and really beautiful.
