Montisms: Phrases repeatedly used by Mont Brown

That definition is legit. If you don't know any Montisms let me enlighten you:
Ya heathens!
Judas Priest!
I've come to suck your blood!
Poop or get off the pot.
Its as cold as a tin toilet on a shady side of an iceberg!
A rat bark.
Ankle biters!
Move it or park it!
Are ya diggin' for gold?
Slower than molasses.
Quicker than poop through a goose.
Poop or shoe shine.
Come to Jesus meeting...
Handsome devil.
Why so many with poop? I can not even tell ya. I also had to edit off a few. Let's just say Dad definitely was a farm boy.
Sometimes I really hate December.  Christmas gives me anxiety. It has every since my Dad died and maybe even a couple years before. I'm still not sure why but every time I go into stores that have all of their Christmas decorations up I freak out inside.
I miss him. Oh I miss him. I think about him on a regular basis when this day get closer. I try not to think about how sad I am to not have him around anymore. Some days I have to stop and let myself cry. It feels cleansing to me to take that moment. I have to remind myself how blessed I was/am to have such a great example in my young life.
It pains my heart to hear of people losing loved ones. I literally feel a weight on my heart when I think about the awful sadness and despair that come with such a loss. But I am lifted up in the knowledge that family is forever. I feel like I can't really realize how precious those moments of joy are without feeling the pain. One day, I will look back on this mortal experience and really understand how fleeting those moments are.
The lesson I taught in Young Women's this week was about using time wisely. I have been reminded all week about how important each moment is in our lives. Every second counts because I am accountable to my Heavenly Father for those seconds. It's made me think about the mother I want to be remembered as by my children. What moments do I want them to remember? I know with my Dad I remember both the good and the bad. He was not perfect but that is not what makes a good Dad anyway. He loved me and I knew it. He cared about what I did with my life and I knew it. He would do anything to make sure I was on the right path and I. Knew. It. Hopefully one day, far, far, far away from this one, my daughters and maybe sons (who knows, right?) will look back and know the same.

Kelsie's Pink 3rd Birthday!

When I asked Kelsie what kind of cake she wanted this year she said "Pink with sprinkles." Alright. I can do that.  I bought a Groupon for Glaus Bakery earlier in the year so I thought that would be perfect. If you haven't heard, we are in search of the best cake bakers in Northern Utah. You name the bakery I bet we have gotten a cake or some kind of baked good there. Did Glaus win? Ehh...not bad.
I continued the pink theme for the whole party. I also emailed everyone to tell them to wear pink but if they were boys they had the option of red. I didn't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable:).

I also made strawberry milk (Kelsie still asks for it daily) and bought 7up Pomegranate.

We recently had had pics taken of the fam so I emailed our photographer to see if she could send me one of Kels. My plan was to blow it up and just stick it on the wall. I had a 'light bulb' moment and thought why not do Pin the Crown on Kelsie? Hilarious. I cut out all the paper stuff with my Cricut which possibly hasn't seen the light of day for over a year now. Maybe longer. Oops.

Rick. Always goes above and beyond that guy! He got this whole outfit at the DI and dyed it pink.

She received a ton of gifts from Rick. He is going to spoil his grandkids like crazy one day.

Can't you tell my brother has all girls at home? Love it!

Halloween Fun!

We had our annual trip to Gardner Village to go on the Witch Scavenger Hunt. I love what they do there will all the funny witches.

These are pics from our ward Halloween party. It was packed!
The activity day's girls and their leaders did the thriller dance. The leader in the front is a seriously amazing dancer and it was awesome to watch her dance.

The Lunt's came down for Halloween and we all went to Alpine to Kelli's husband's sister's house. Ha. We had dinner and went trick or treating with everyone. We had to coach Kelsie on the fine art. Don't look at your candy. Just run to the next house. She had to try to keep up with her speedy and experienced cousins.

Lunt's Lovin' on the Babe

This was right after Lana was born. Her hair looks so dark here. It amazes me how much they change in so short a time.

Cute little Hailee holding Lana.

Sleepy little baby.

Miss you Boise Lunt's!

Dance! Dance! Dance!

I posted these to facebook but wanted to put them up here as well. Kelsie started her first dance class this year. She loves it and asks me almost every day if we are going to Miss Ashley's to dance! It so fun to have little girls!
Forgive the water spots. She had just brushed her teeth.

Here she is the day of her recital!

How did she get so big?

Lana at 4 months...almost!

Just doing some tummy time on Kelsie's "bed" downstairs. I put bed in parenthesis because we have yet to move her down there. We tried for a few days but she just kept coming up every few hours into our room and waking us up. I couldn't take waking up with two babes so that plan is on hold indefinitely:) Chad said "Great. We just painted a whole room purple!" Yes. Yes we did.

Lana is currently out of our room and in the pack 'n play in the office.  The last two nights it has actually been great cause she has slept until 4:30. But I've had to go in at about midnight and re-wrap her to keep her from getting up. She is such a happy, smiley baby. I don't pay attention to her for a little bit, look at her and she'll just be smiling her little face off at me.  Even if I'm yelling at Kelsie to do or not do something I look down and she is happy as can be. She has started to develop a high pitched squeal/scream that at the start makes me laugh every time. It's just unbelievable that this little creature makes such a high noise. And then it gets ear piercingly high and I stick the binky in. Most of the time she is very mellow though. She likes to hold her hands. She's been grabbing at everything for the last month or so and rolled over to her back about that time. I think that is a little faster than Kelsie. She has only rolled a handful of times.

Kelsie still loves her sister and loves to make her smile whenever she can. The other day, while driving, I heard Kelsie say "My name is Kelsie and your name is Lana!" Haha. She has not shown any jealousy towards Lana and tells me all the time what a cute sister she has.
Nope. That wall is not photo shopped. It. Is. Purple.

This is when she got mad and started to try and roll over.

At her 4 month appt. Lana was 15.1 lbs, 25.5 inches, and head was 16.25 inches

Lana Tub Pics at 3 1/2 months

Had to throw in a Kelsie one to compare. I think Lana is starting to have more of her own look.
Love her chubby little body.
Kelsie at about 6 or 7 weeks I think.

Who is this GIRL?

I find I'm asking myself that question all the time. I wonder why......
She came out of her room the other afternoon wearing this attire. Don't you love the see-through skirt? Pretty scandalous. I told her she can't leave the house without shorts on and she said "People don't want to see my bum!" Yep. That's right.

New Pics for Grandma Nelson

Grandma Nelson has been asking for some updated pics of Lana. Her she is at 8 weeks. I love her chubbiness!

Lana on the left. Kelsie on the right.
I think they look so much alike. Freaky!!! I've had twins!

Sleeping NO NO's

SO I am not a co-sleeper. It's just not my thing because I don't sleep as well with her in the bed. I was desperato! I seriously must sleep so occasionally I will bring Lana in bed with us if she wakes up too early. Such a mean Mom. I figure she is big enough and can handle sleeping a little longer. Chad snuck a pic of us. She moved right up next to me. So close that we were touching foreheads! I've noticed if I get that close she instantly calms down and falls right back to sleep.

Blessing Day and Grandma and Grandpa Nelson Visit

The Nelson's came to visit us the second weekend in July so we decided it would be a good time to bless Lana.  It has been over a year since we've seen Grandma and Grandpa so it was nice having them around. I think Kelsie liked wearing Grandpa out by always asking to go do something with her. She also found his secret stash of candy in his room. Can't hide anything from that girl. Especially if sugar is involved. Grandpa knows better now. I think I finally understand why my Dad used to hide Twizzlers and such in the caserole dish on the top shelf. No grubby little fingers can get to it. Well until they turned into grubbly big teenage fingers:)

We took a lot of pictures with fam because we did such a horrible job getting any with Kelsie.
Chad gave Lana a beautiful blessing. I'm so greatful for the great father that he is. I am a very blessed woman.
